Help AWF Protect the Bonobo
This Unique Great Ape Needs Your Support
The bonobo is a great ape found only in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) between the Congo River, the Lomami River, the Kasai/Sankuru Rivers and the Lake Tumba/Lac Ndombe region.
AWF helped establish a protected area in the Lomako Forest in that region and opened a permanent scientific research center, the Lomako Conservation Science Center, in the heart of bonobo habitat. The conservation research center supports wildlife surveys, the training of Congolese researchers and development of conservation plans.
To keep the center up and running we need your help. Donate today and help conserve Africa's bonobos.
Your gift now will support AWF’s work throughout the African continent and ensure Africa’s wildlife and wild lands endure forever.
